Llewellyn Leonard
- Professor of Environmental Science, University of South Africa
Llewellyn is an environmental sociologist. He has an MSc in civil engineering (water quality and environmental management) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and a PhD in human geography from Kings College London. Llewellyn has worked on environmental issues related to industrial, medical and municipal waste, landfills, mining, air pollution, incineration, cleaner production techniques and obsolete pesticides in South Africa and internationally. His research interests include environmental justice, urban risk and governance, democracy, climate change adaptation and resilience, and sustainable urban tourism.
