Svyrydenko Reveals How Long Ukrzaliznytsia-3000 Program To Last
“The relevant ministry is developing and refining the details of this program. It is scheduled to start on December 1 and will run for four months, when demand for Ukrzaliznytsia's services is low. During such periods, we have the opportunity to provide additional tickets to citizens,” the prime minister said.
At the same time, the prime minister claimed that in Ukraine, the cost of passenger transportation is currently higher than the cost of a ticket.
According to her, previously, the corresponding gap was compensated for by cargo transportation, but due to active hostilities, the volume of cargo transportation is decreasing.
Svyrydenko also said that in order to support the Ukrainian railway, additional financial resources amounting to approximately UAH 13 billion were allocated this year.
“Next year, we plan to allocate at least UAH 15 billion. Ukrzaliznytsia itself is looking for additional resources by cutting costs and optimizing its activities,” she emphasized.
