EU Ambassador Hopes For Swift Agreement To Open All Negotiation Clusters With Ukraine
According to the diplomat, Ukraine has done everything necessary to open the clusters, especially the fundamentals. However, since this has not yet happened for very well-known reasons, she said she understands the public's disappointment. That is why, Mathernova noted, the European Commission in its report explicitly stated that Ukraine is ready to start negotiations on several clusters.
“But eventually, when the screening that was successfully finished at the end of October will be formally finalized, I think all six clusters Ukraine would be able to follow and negotiate. It's stated very explicitly, and hopefully that will help allay some of the public disappointment,” Mathernova said.
She emphasized that it is now important to focus on implementing reforms“because the reforms are not done for us, for the European Union, the reforms are done for the sake of modernization of Ukraine and are important for you as a country and your citizens.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, announced the readiness to open all negotiation clusters with Ukraine regarding its accession to the European Union by the end of November, but pointed to the ongoing blockade from Hungary.
