Bahrain Ministry Thanks Qatar For Assistance In Recovering Missing Citizen's Body
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its gratitude to the Qatar Coast Guard for its assistance in recovering the body of a Bahraini citizen who went missing in the open sea.
The Ministry stated that it received a report from the Coast Guard Command of Qatar's Coast and Border Security, indicating that they had found the body of a deceased person in the open sea, after which a specialized security team was dispatched to Qatar, accompanied by the family of the missing citizen, to identify the recovered body.
In a statement on its social media accounts, the Bahrain Ministry said that after laboratory tests confirmed that the body belonged to the missing citizen, the necessary procedures would be completed for its transfer back to the country.
It added, "the Ministry of Interior expresses its thanks to the Coast and Border Security and the relevant authorities in the sisterly State of Qatar for their cooperation and coordination on this matter, offering its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased citizen."
The Bahraini Ministry further stated that the individuals who were with the citizen on the boat and caused his death have been referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action.
