OPAQ Conducts Quiz For Students Across Indian Schools In Qatar The Peninsula
Doha, Qatar: The Onattukara Pravasi Association (OPAQ) successfully conducted the“India @100 Quiz 2025 – Season 4” for secondary school students across Indian schools in Qatar at ICC Ashoka Hall.
Established in 2009, OPAQ is a socio-cultural organization associated with the Indian Cultural Center under the aegis of the Embassy of India in Qatar. The association boasts over 500 members from the four southern districts of Kerala.
The event was graced by Harish Pandey, First Secretary of Education and Culture, Embassy of India, Qatar, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included Shantanu Deshpande, ICC Vice President; Abraham K. Joseph, ICC General Secretary & OPAQ Advisory; Raveendraprasad, ICC Head of Affiliation; Kannu Baker, GM of Al Rawabi Group of Companies; Vijayakumar, CEO of National Engineering; Abdul Sathar, OPAQ Advisory Chairman; and Sajeev Satyaseelan, OPAQ Advisory Member.
Manzoor Moideen served as the quiz master for the competition.
A total of 52 participants from prominent Indian schools competed, with six schools qualifying for the final round: Loyola International School, Doha Modern Indian School, Noble International School, MES Indian School Abu Hamour Branch, MES Indian School, and DPS-Modern Indian School.
  Winners of the Quiz: 
.    First Prize & Overall Championship Trophy: MES Indian School, Abu Hamour (MESIS) – Mohammed Bassam and Albin Antony
.    Second Prize: DPS-Modern Indian School – Makka Mohamed Syed Ali and Aaryan Sujith
.    Third Prize: Loyola International School – Avighna Bora and Ananya Chaurasia
The ever-rolling championship trophy was bagged by MES Indian School, Abu Hamour (MESIS) for the second consecutive time, marking yet another proud achievement for the team
The function was presided over by Jayasree Suresh, President of OPAQ, with Shejina Naushad, General Secretary, delivering the welcome address. The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Sreejith P. Pillai, Program Convenor. Members of OPAQ and affiliated community organizations attended the event.
During the program, a special memento was presented to Yash Arjun in recognition of his extraordinary talent and exceptional grasping ability, acknowledged by Kalam's World Records and the India Book of Records in the“Extraordinary Grasping Power – Genius Kids” category.
The quiz contest was followed by vibrant cultural programs, felicitations, and the prize distribution ceremony. The event was gracefully hosted by Druvi Vishnu, adding charm and energy to the occasion.
