Saudi Arabia Announces Changes To Umrah Visa Regulations
Jeddah: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced new amendments to its Umrah visa regulations, saying that the validity of the visa before entry will be shortened from three months to one month from the date of issuance, Al Arabiya, citing sources close to the matter, said.
The permitted length of stay once the pilgrim arrives in Saudi Arabia, the Al Arabiya report added, remains unchanged at three months.
The new policy also states that the Umrah visa will be automatically cancelled 30 days after its issuance if the person who wishes to perform Umrah fails to register their entry to Saudi Arabia within that period.
These changes, as per Al Arabiya, are expected to come into effect next week.
