I received a PhD in Latin American History from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012. After that, I was an Assistant Professor of International Relations at Boston University for 5 years before moving to the University of Nevada, Reno. I received tenure in 2020 and was promoted to Associate Professor. I am the author of two books--The Fate of the Americas: The Cuban Missile Crisis and the Hemispheric Cold War (UNC, 2025) and Mexico's Cold War: Cuba, the United States, and the Legacy of the Mexican Revolution (Cambridge, 2015).
