October 22, 2025 by Sam Francis

Chinese robotics company Unitree has introduced its latest humanoid robot, the H2, described as a“graceful rebirth” of industrial design and motion control.

Standing 182 cm tall and weighing around 70 kg, the H2 features a streamlined metallic frame built from aircraft-grade aluminum, titanium alloy and high-strength plastics.

It is powered by low-inertia, high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motors that deliver up to 360 N·m of joint torque in the legs and 120 N·m in the arms, giving the robot impressive mobility and balance.

Unitree says the H2 has 31 degrees of freedom, a bionic head with facial features, and multiple dexterous-hand options.

It integrates a dual-eye binocular camera, array microphone, and high-power speaker for vision and voice interaction.

Its onboard computing can scale up to Jetson AGX Thor with 2,070 Tops, while local OTA updates enable continuous improvement of motion-control algorithms.

The robot runs for about three hours per charge using a 15 Ah lithium battery, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity included.

Unitree lists two variants – the standard H2 and H2 EDU, aimed at research and educational development – both available via direct sales contact.

Unitree cautions that the H2 is a civilian-grade robot designed for controlled environments and advises users to maintain a safe distance during operation.

The company notes that the global humanoid robotics sector“remains in the early stages of exploration”.
