Isla Duporge is a British–French zoologist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University. She earned her Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Oxford, and from 2021–2024 held a National Academies of Sciences Research Associateship.

She previously served as a Visiting Research Scholar with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), working in collaboration with the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) to investigate the use of geospatial technologies for wildlife monitoring.

Her current research focuses on advancing animal tracking methods by integrating long-range unmanned aerial vehicles and very high-resolution satellite imagery with deep learning. This work aims to improve understanding of collective animal movement and behavior and contributes to broader theoretical frameworks in movement ecology and scaling laws.

Her research has been featured by international media including BBC World Service, Al Jazeera, EuroNews, CGTN, Reuters, CNN, The Times of India, La Stampa, and La Repubblica. She has been an Explorer with the National Geographic Society since 2017.
