Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claims victory of Formula 1 US Grand Prix
(MENAFN) Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed victory at the United States Grand Prix on Sunday, securing his fifth win of the Formula 1 season at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
The Dutch driver, who began the race from pole position, completed the 56-lap contest on the 5.5-kilometer (3.4-mile) track with a total time of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 00.161 seconds, maintaining his dominance in the championship.
McLaren’s Lando Norris finished second, trailing Verstappen by 7.959 seconds, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took third place, 15.373 seconds behind the winner.
The F1 season now heads to Mexico for the next round on October 26, as Verstappen continues to close the gap in the title race heading into the season’s final stages.
