Number Of Russian Guided Missile Strikes In South Increases By 1520% - Defense Forces

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, reported this during a television broadcast, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Recently, the enemy has begun using guided bombs somewhat more actively, and statistics show an increase in their use by approximately 15–20%,” he said.

According to Voloshyn, over the past day, 23 guided aerial bombs were recorded hitting Ukrainian positions in their area of responsibility.

“In particular, seven guided bombs were recorded hitting Stepnohirsk, and, in addition, the enemy also carried out KAB strikes on several other settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region,” the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces said.

Answering a question about the use of FPV drones, Voloshyn stated that on October 19, about 900 FPV drone strikes were recorded across southern sectors.

“Specifically, in the Zaporizhzhia direction, near Orikhiv and Huliaipole, there were roughly 550–570 FPV drone attacks recorded. So, the number of enemy drones is also increasing daily by about 10–15%,” he added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian forces have increased the intensity of shelling in the east by 25–30%.
