Mass Displacement In Central Kurram Amid Fears Of Military Operation Against Militants
Fearing a possible military operation against militants, residents of Central Kurram have begun leaving their homes in large numbers.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), more than 15,000 people, representing over 2,200 families from 22 villages in the Alisherzai and Masozai areas, have so far been displaced.
PDMA District Coordinator Shiraz Bacha said that temporary camps have been established for the displaced families in various parts of Kurram and Thall districts.
