No Alternative To Two-State Solution To Ensure Region's Stability, Security: Palestinian Foreign Minister
Rome: Palestinian Foreign Minister Fareseen Shaheen has stressed the need to maintain the unity of the Palestinian territories and that there is no alternative to the two-state solution to ensure stability and security in the region.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted Shaheen as saying during a special session on Palestine, on the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogue Conference held in Naples, Italy, that the priority today is to end the Israeli occupation of all Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, in preparation for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
She noted the need to unify efforts under one state, one constitution, one law, and one weapon, highlighting the efforts being made to achieve internal reform within the Palestinian Authority.
