Kuwait Acting Finance Minister Meets WB Vice President For The Mideast

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and Acting Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem on Thursday met with the World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, Osman Dyoun.
Minister Al-Mukhaizeem, during the meeting, touched on the necessity to boost the relationship with the WB local office in Kuwait particularly after appointment of a new director.
For his part, Dyoun expressed gratitude to Kuwait for paying its contribution to the general and voluntary increases to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development's budget.
Moreover, the two sides affirmed necessity of boosting cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the World bank particularly in the sectors of education, health, energy and water. (pickup previous)
