Türkiye’s Stock Exchange Opens Thursday in Negative Territory

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s benchmark BIST 100 index started Thursday trading at 10,437.80 points, marking a 0.25% decline or 26.68 points below Wednesday’s close.

The previous day saw a robust 1.44% rally in the index, which closed at 10,464.48 points on Wednesday, with a substantial daily trading volume of 134.6 billion Turkish liras ($3.21 billion).

By 09:50 am local time (0650 GMT), currency exchange rates were recorded at 41.8465 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.8975 per euro, and 56.2275 against the British pound.

In commodity markets, gold was priced at $4,218.35 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was trading at $62.25 a barrel.
