Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra) -- The Public Security Directorate (PSD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has launched the "Junior Police" program in a number of schools across all governorates of the Kingdom.
The initiative reflects the PSD's ongoing commitment to engaging younger age groups in primary schools and promoting security awareness and positive behavior from an early age.
The two-week program aims to strengthen children's intellectual and behavioral resilience through a comprehensive series of educational and training activities. Topics covered include road safety, first aid, environmental awareness, pedestrian discipline, the dangers of online gaming, public safety, and cyberbullying prevention.
As part of the course, students will also participate in field visits to the PSD museums in Azraq and Aqaba, where they will learn about the history of the Public Security Directorate and its national role in protecting citizens and safeguarding the country's achievements.
The PSD emphasized that this initiative is part of its broader efforts to reinforce the concept of community policing and to build trust and cooperation with younger generations, empowering them to become active partners in promoting values of discipline, civic responsibility, and human-centered security within society.
