Policeman Martyred By Gunmen While On Duty In Nowshera

A police constable was martyred after unidentified assailants opened fire in Nizampur, Nowshera district.

According to police sources, the incident occurred while the cop was performing duty for the ongoing polio vaccination campaign.

The martyred constable was identified as Maqsood, son of Umar, aged 35, and a resident of Kheshgi.

Following the incident, a Rescue 1122 team from Nowshera reached the spot and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Nowshera.
