Death Toll Form Israeli Aggression On Gaza Rises To 67,211
Gaza: The death toll from Israeli ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 67,211 people, in addition to 169,961 injuries, according to the latest update from the Gaza Health Ministry.
In a statement released Friday, the ministry reported that hospitals across the enclave received the bodies of 17 martyrs and 71 wounded in the previous 24 hours, adding that several victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them.
Since March 18, 2025, the ministry has recorded 13,598 deaths and 57,849 injuries in the Strip, noting that five people wounded while seeking aid were brought to Gaza hospitals over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 2,615 martyrs and more than 19,182 wounded.
Earlier today, the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip went into effect, as thousands of Palestinians who were forcibly displaced to the central and southern Gaza Strip began returning to the north.
This came after the Israeli occupation forces announced the opening of the Rashid and Salah al-Din coastal roads for their return, coinciding with the gradual withdrawal of Israeli military vehicles from areas deep within the city.
Last night, the Israeli occupation government ratified the ceasefire agreement reached with Hamas in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh. The deal outlines a 24-hour cessation of hostilities, followed by the release of detainees within 72 hours, as part of the first phase of President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war.
