
Ukraine Confirms Strike On Major Gas Processing Plant In Russia's Volgograd Region
The Korobkovsky Gas Processing Plant (located in Kotovo, Volgograd region) is one of the largest facilities in southern Russia for the primary processing of natural and associated petroleum gas. The plant has a design capacity of 450 million cubic meters of natural and associated gas per year and produces up to 186,000 tons of wide light hydrocarbon fractions annually.
The Yefimovka LPDS (in Yefimovka, Volgograd region) is a station that services several main pipelines transporting oil and petroleum products across the region, with an annual throughput capacity of 50 million tons.
Explosions and fires were reported at both facilities, and the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
