Autumn Clouds Bring Light Rain To The North, Mild Days Elsewhere

Amman, Oct. 9 (Petra) -- Clouds are forecast to drift over much of the country on Thursday, bringing light showers to the north and mild, pleasant weather across most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
Skies will range from partly cloudy to overcast in the northern and central areas, where intermittent rain showers are expected. The weather will be mild in most regions and moderate around the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with northwesterly winds blowing at a moderate pace, sometimes picking up dust in the eastern and desert areas.
Friday will bring similar conditions, featuring mild temperatures, low clouds, and steady northwesterly winds.
A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Saturday, keeping the weather mild over the highlands and plains and moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will remain northwesterly and moderate.
By Sunday, temperatures will dip slightly, with pleasant conditions prevailing and low clouds appearing at times. Northwesterly winds will continue moderate, occasionally active.
Temperature readings for Thursday show highs and lows of 25 and 14 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 23 and 12 in West Amman, 21 and 11 in the northern highlands, and 21 and 10 in the Sharah highlands.
In desert areas, temperatures will range between 29 and 13 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 25 and 15 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 33 and 18 degrees, compared to 34 and 21 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.
Around the Dead Sea, temperatures will reach 33 and 20 degrees, and 34 and 21 degrees in Aqaba.
