Fragile Yet Fearless: A Memoir That Demands To Be Read

In Fragile Strength, author Phyllis Ann opens the door to her life with extraordinary honesty and vulnerability, sharing a story that is both deeply personal and profoundly universal. With an unfiltered voice and powerful prose, she recounts her journey through trauma, mental illness, and survival, proving that even the most fragile beginnings can lead to a life of undeniable strength.
Raised in poverty, shaped by systemic barriers, and scarred by traumatic experiences including sexual violence, abandonment, and mental health struggles, Phyllis confronts her past not with bitterness, but with grace and insight. Her diagnosis with bipolar disorder becomes not a limitation but a lens through which she gains clarity, spiritual awareness, and purpose.
Told through a series of poetic and sometimes raw vignettes, the book invites readers to walk alongside her through her struggles as a Black woman in a judgmental society, through motherhood and heartbreak, and toward the hard-won joy of self-acceptance. It is a call to face life's hardest truths without losing hope or heart.
Phyllis Ann is not afraid to speak the words others shy away from. She offers encouragement to those who have been silenced and reminds them that healing is possible, no matter how broken one may feel. Her voice becomes a source of empowerment, particularly for marginalized women and youth navigating trauma and mental health battles of their own.
Recently featured on the Times Square billboard in New York City, Fragile Strength is gaining national attention for its raw emotional impact and timely message. Readers can find the book on Amazon at .
Fragile Strength is more than a memoir. It is a declaration. It tells us that our past does not define our future, and that with courage, faith, and truth, we can reclaim our stories and rise.
