Additional Power Outages Introduced In Chernihiv Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Regional energy supply company Chernihivoblenergo announced this on Telegram , according to Ukrinform.

It noted that today the situation in the power system has not improved, but on the contrary, even with existing restrictions, the grid remains overloaded and its capacity is insufficient to supply electricity to the limited number of consumers covered by the hourly outage schedules.

"To prevent a total blackout across 100% of the region's subscribers, the company is forced to implement additional outages not included in the schedule. This means all consumers will have less time with electricity, and some who are not listed in the outage schedules will also experience cutoffs," the statement reads.

The company added that outages will rotate so consumers can have at least a minimum number of hours with electricity to cover essential household needs.

"Energy workers are working around the clock to restore power facilities damaged by Russian strikes," Chernihivoblenergo said.

Several communities in the Chernihiv region were left without electricity following a Russian strike on an energy facility in a neighboring region. Later it was also confirmed that in Slavutych, Kyiv region, a Russian attack on a substation left the city without power.
