Ukrainian Army's Transition To Corps-Based System Completed Chief Of General Staff

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Andrii Hnatov stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"At this stage, the transition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to a corps-based structure has been completed. All newly formed corps are already performing tasks within their assigned groups. Of course, there are certain nuances regarding staffing, training, and ongoing changes within these structures. But we understand that such a large and complex mechanism as the Ukrainian Armed Forces is constantly evolving, with organizational measures continuously underway," Hnatov said.

He added that the General Staff had organized and carried out extensive work to simultaneously prepare all ten newly created corps headquarters. According to him, this required significant effort, particularly the involvement of the most experienced representatives of the Armed Forces. In addition, instructors from partner countries contributed to the training of corps staff.

Hnatov also stressed that, thanks in part to the corps reform, the enemy's plans for rapid offensive operations in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and other regions were not realized.

The headquarters of the newly created corps are staffed to the established levels, enabling them to carry out combat missions as intended.

Speaking about organizational changes within the Armed Forces, Hnatov noted that other initiatives are also underway, including the creation of Ukraine's Assault Forces and Cyber Forces.
