Zelensky Awards And Confers Honorary Titles On Several Military Units
In accordance with Decree No. 715/2025 , the 37th Separate Aviation Squadron of Unmanned Aerial Systems of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been given the honorary name“Princess Olha.” Henceforth, the squadron will be called the 37th Separate Aviation Squadron of Unmanned Aerial Systems named after Princess Olga of the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to Decree No. 726/2025 , the 28th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine was given the honorary name“Chernobyl.” Henceforth, the regiment will be called the 28th Chernobyl Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.
By Decree No. 727/2025 , the President awarded the 27th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine the honorary name“Prince Sviatoslav Yaroslavovych.” Henceforth, the regiment will be called the 27th Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav Yaroslavovych of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Decree No. 728/2025 awarded the 32nd separate battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine the honorary title“Volyn.” Henceforth, the battalion will be called the 32nd Volyn separate battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Zelensky also awarded the honorary distinction“For Courage and Bravery” to three brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two detachments of the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service of Ukraine, and a separate artillery brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The aim is to honor the courage and heroism shown in defending the state sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In accordance with Decree No. 711/2025 , the president awarded the 12th separate army aviation brigade named after General Viktor Pavlenko of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Decree No. 712/2025 , the 32nd Separate Artillery Brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was awarded.
According to Decree No. 713/2025 , the head of state awarded the 117th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Decree No. 723/202 , the 1st Marine Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine was awarded.
Zelensky, in accordance with Decree No. 724/2025 , awarded the 18th Marine Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to Decree No. 725/2025 , the head of state awarded a separate artillery brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
As reported, on October 1, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and the Day of the Cossacks, which coincides with the Christian holiday of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.
The Day of Defenders of Ukraine is a public holiday that was established on October 14, 2014, by presidential decree as the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.

It was celebrated on October 14, but in 2023 the date was moved to October 1 due to the reform of the church calendar.
