A milestone moment as Volvo marks 40 years in the UAE with DFC Showroom Relaunch

(MENAFN- Tales & Heads) Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Volvo Cars UAE and Al Futtaim Trading Enterprises officially reopened the Dubai Festival City showroom, marking 40 years of Volvo in the Emirates.
The relaunch introduced History Through Time, a curated showcase tracing Volvo’s journey from its early models to today’s advances in safety, sustainability, electrification and innovation. Classic Volvos were displayed alongside the latest line up, including the fully electric EX30 and the flagship XC90, as well as other bestselling models.
The DFC showroom has been redesigned with a Scandinavian inspired aesthetic, creating an inviting environment that reflects Volvo’s values of sustainability, safety and modern luxury. Visitors are encouraged to explore the space, immerse themselves in Volvo’s heritage and experience the latest vehicles as the brand progresses towards achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
Speaking on the relaunch, Marco Melani, Regional Managing Director, Al Futtaim Automotive, said: “This journey has always been about more than cars. It has been about purpose, progress and people. Sustainability is central to that ambition and Volvo reflects this same commitment. The new showroom symbolises that shared outlook, a place where heritage meets innovation and where customers can experience how responsibility and progress come together.”
Guests also experienced an exclusive regional preview of the Volvo EX90, the forthcoming fully electric flagship SUV set to enter the market in 2026. This seven-seater SUV has already been recognised on the global stage, winning the title of World Luxury Car at the World Car Awards in 2025. The EX90 combines advanced technology, refined Scandinavian design and new safety features under Volvo’s Safe Space concept. With its versatile exterior and calm, well-crafted interior, it balances modern luxury with comfort and wellbeing and has been designed to evolve through regular updates to ensure drivers continue to benefit from the latest innovations.
Lee Parker, Brand Director, Volvo UAE, commented: “Marking 40 years of Volvo in the Emirates is as much about looking forward as it is about celebrating the past. We are proud to highlight the EX30 and XC90, and to present a preview of the EX90 ahead of its launch in 2026. For us at Trading Enterprises, this represents the road ahead, guiding our customers into a new era of electrification while continuing to deliver the innovation and care that Volvo has always stood for.”
