Gaza Bleeds: Israel Kills Fourteen More Civilians in Fresh Strikes

(MENAFN) At least 14 Palestinians were killed and numerous others wounded on Wednesday as Israeli airstrikes pounded several locations across the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian news agency reported.

In one of the deadliest incidents, seven people died and others sustained injuries when Israeli aircraft bombed a residential building in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, located in eastern Gaza City.

A separate strike targeted Al-Falah School in the southeastern Al-Zaytoun area, killing six more Palestinians. The facility had been serving as a shelter for displaced families, according to the news agency.

Elsewhere in central Gaza, a drone attack killed one person and wounded several others at the new refugee camp near Al-Nuseirat, the agency said.

Additionally, Israeli forces reportedly ignited buildings near the Islamic University in southwestern Gaza City, resulting in significant structural damage.

The Israeli military has intensified its operations in Gaza City, pushing forward with what it describes as a campaign to fully seize control of the urban center.

According to the news agency, the death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 66,000 since the conflict escalated in October 2023, with women and children making up the majority of those killed. The ongoing bombardment has left the territory in ruins and triggered a famine.

Diplomatic efforts toward a ceasefire and long-term reconstruction continue. This week, U.S. President Donald Trump introduced a 20-point proposal aimed at restoring stability and rebuilding the devastated enclave.
