Officials Oversee Restoration At Mar Elias And Ajloun Castle With Greek Mission

Ajloun, Sept. 30 (Petra) – Director General of the Department of Antiquities Fawzi Abu Danneh conducted an official visit to the Mar Elias archaeological site and Ajloun Castle, accompanied by Metropolitan Christoforos and the Greek Ambassador to Jordan, Irene Riga, to review restoration work carried out by the Greek mission at the two sites.
During the tour, Abu Danneh praised the efforts to preserve Jordan's cultural and archaeological heritage, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in safeguarding shared human heritage.
Ambassador Riga highlighted the advanced level of Jordanian-Greek partnership in maintaining archaeological sites and its significance for both cultural and tourism value.
