Renata Roma

Renata Roma is a researcher with background in psychology. She was trained and worked as a psychologist in Brazil and is currently completing her training to become a psychotherapist in Ontario. She holds a master's degree in Psychology from USP and a PhD from Brock University in the Department of Child and Youth Studies. She is currently a researcher at the University of Saskatchewan. For over 10 years, she has researched the benefits and challenges of human-animal interactions in various contexts. With several publications and presentations at conferences and symposiums, she is currently involved in projects on interactions between pet owners and their animals and the participation of dogs in therapeutic programs.

Renata Roma é uma pesquisadora que já atuou como psicóloga no Brasil e está terminando sua formação para atuar como psicoterapeuta em Ontario. Ela possui mestrado em Psicologia pela USP, PhD pela Brock University, no Departamento de Child and Youth Studies, e atualmente é pesquisadora na University of Saskatchewan (Canadá). Há mais de 10 anos, ela desenvolve pesquisas relacionadas aos benefícios e desafios associados às interações entre pessoas e animais em diversos contextos. Com diversas publicações e apresentações em congressos e conferências, atualmente ela está envolvida em projetos sobre interações entre tutores e pets e participação de animais em programas terapêuticos.
