War Update: 75 Clashes On Frontline, Most Of Them In Pokrovsk Sector

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted an update on Facebook , regarding the frontline situation as of 16:00 on Monday, September 29.

The border town of Zarichne in the Sumy region was subjected to artillery strikes from the territory of the Russian Federation.

In the Northern Slobozhanchscyna and Kursk sectors , 13 clashes have taken place since the beginning, three of which are ongoing.

In addition, the enemy carried out three air strikes, dropping four guided bombs, and carried out 69 shellings of Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements, including five with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector , the Russian attack near Vovchansk continues.

In the Lyman sector , Russians attacked six times in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Drobysheve, Shandryholove, and Torske, with five combat engagements ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders are repelling the enemy's attempt to advance toward the settlement of Yampil.

In the Toretsk sector , Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Ivanopillia, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka. The Defense Forces successfully repelled all ten attacks.

In the Pokrovsk sector , Russian troops attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 19 times in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, and Dachne. Fighting continues in two locations.

In the Novopavlivka sector , Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks in the areas of the settlements of Hrushivske, Oleksiivka, Zaporizke, Berezove, Novomykolaivka, and toward Novopavlivka and Novohryhorivka. Four combat engagements are ongoing.

One clash was recorded in the Huliaipole sector in the Poltavka area.

The settlements of Novopavlivka and Zaliznychne were subjected to air strikes.

The Russians did not conduct any offensive operations in the Orikhiv, Kramatorsk, and Kupiansk sectors.

In the Prydniprovske sector , Ukrainian units repelled three Russian assaults.

Russian aircraft struck the area around the village of Odradokamianka.

As reported by Ukrinform, Spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn stated that Russian troops had intensified combat operations in the southern sector, particularly in the areas of Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, and Mala Tokmachka, where the enemies conduct daily assaults on Ukrainian positions.
