Afghanistan-Iran Trade Hits $1.6B In Six Months
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan's trade volume with Iran reached $1.626 billion during the first six months of the current 1404 solar year, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said on Monday.
A statement from the ministry said exports to Iran stood at $13 million, while imports valued at $1.613 billion.
Key Afghan exports included lead, cotton, red raisins, non-alcoholic energy drinks, vegetable seeds, sesame, almonds, minerals, processed talc and dried apricot.
Major imports were diesel, petrol, natural gas, vehicle spare parts, cement, corrugated iron sheets, linen and eggs.
