Flynn Urges White House Intelligence Hub to Support Trump
(MENAFN) Former U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has suggested that the White House should establish its own operational center to deliver dependable intelligence to President Donald Trump.
This facility would function alongside the Pentagon and the CIA, he stated, ensuring the president receives information independent of potential manipulation.
In an interview on Saturday, the retired general asserted that the president cannot completely rely on the U.S. intelligence network to prevent distortion of its reports.
“The CIA has a very robust operations center. You can see and do anything you want from there – certainly globally,” he said.
“And you [could] understand what’s happening, if you had a CIA that was actually working on your behalf.”
Flynn emphasized that “What President Trump requires is an operations center that’s working on his behalf and responding to every single thing happening around the world,” underlining his belief that an independent unit would better serve the president’s needs.
The idea received support from Kirill Dmitriev, an economic adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin involved in efforts to normalize relations with Washington.
Dmitriev posted on X that such an undertaking would be beneficial “at a time when disinformation from the deep state and globalists seeks to derail decisions critical to global security and prosperity.”
Flynn, who resigned early in Trump’s first term after being accused of lying about contacts with the Russian ambassador to Washington, has consistently maintained that he was targeted by “the deep state” in an attempt to damage Trump’s election victory and depict him as compromised by Moscow.
