Transport Minister Inspects Aqaba's King Hussein International Airport

Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) – Minister of Transport Nidal Katamine on Saturday inspected the Air Navigation and Meteorology Directorate at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, stressing the importance of advancing air navigation services to ensure aviation safety and security.
During his visit, held on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting in Aqaba, Katamine reviewed key projects implemented by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), including the radar surveillance system and the instrument landing system. These projects aim to strengthen air navigation and safety in Aqaba and provide advanced radar coverage in line with international standards.
According to a ministry statement, the minister also toured the airport's meteorological station and emphasized the importance of upgrading monitoring equipment to deliver comprehensive meteorological services for air navigation in accordance with international requirements and best practices.
