Who won the award last year?

Schools from different corners of the world won the award last year.

The First Ukrainian School in Poland by the Unbreakable Ukraine Foundation won the World's Best School Prize for Overcoming Adversity 2024.
Istituto Galilei-Costa-Scarambone in Italy won the World's Best School Prize for Supporting Healthy Lives 2024
Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj in India won the World's Best School Prize for Environmental Action 2024
Colegio María de Guadalupe in Argentina won the World's Best School Prize for Community Collaboration 2024
CM RISE School Vinoba, Ratlam in India won the World's Best School Prize for Innovation 2024

When was the award first introduced?

The five World's Best School Prizes, launched in 2022 in the wake of Covid to highlight schools transforming lives both inside and beyond the classroom, are considered one the world's most prestigious global school awards.

The winners of the five World's Best School Prizes - for Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives – the choice will be determined by experts according to strict benchmarks.

How are schools chosen?

Winners are selected by an expert Judging Academy based on rigorous criteria.

The winners will be invited to the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi on November 15-16, where they will share their best practices and unique expertise with policymakers and leading figures in global education.
