Russia Reports Four Deaths in Ukrainian Drone Assault
(MENAFN) A nighttime drone assault by Ukraine resulted in four fatalities and one injury in Russia’s Samara region, regional Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev announced Saturday.
"It is with deep sorrow that I report that four people were killed as a result of a night attack by enemy UAVs," Fedorishchev stated on social media.
He added that the injured individual is receiving care and assured that the regional government will extend all necessary support to the victims’ families, including financial aid.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that its air defense systems intercepted 149 drones overnight, with 15 of them downed over the Samara area.
