Documentary Film Arrives At The Museum In Panama:“Stories From The Canal” -


(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) This month, the Canal Museum is screening“Historias del Canal,” a collective film that is part of La Cartelera, its space dedicated to documentary, experimental, and art-house cinema. Directed by Carolina Borrero, Pinky Mon, Luis Franco Brantley, Abner Benaim and Pituka Ortega-Heilbron, the film brings together diverse perspectives on the history and cultural impact of the Panama Canal. The work invites the public to reflect on Panamanian identity and the multiple stories that revolve around one of the most important engineering works in the world.

The Billboard was born as an extension of the museum's cultural programming , seeking to give visibility to Panamanian and Latin American creators through cinema as a means of memory, creation and dialogue. “We want cinema to have its own place in our programming. La Cartelera isn't just a screening room: it's a space for enjoyment, reflection, and encounter,” says Ana Elizabeth González, executive director and chief curator of the Museo del Canal.
