MANAMA, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- Partaking in international functions and conferences is important to exchange views and expertize, said Deputy CEO South and East Kuwait at the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Fuad Al-Shaikh on Wednesday.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of KOC's engagement in the three-day Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show (MEOS GEO), Al-Shaikh affirmed that KOC continued to show interest in such regional and international participation, which boosted the company's knowledge on the latest developments within the oil and natural gas sectors.
He revealed that KOC's pavilion within MEOS GEO included introductory material on the company's history, achievements, and grand projects.
Al-Shaikh indicated that the pavilion had focused on the latest KOC endeavors at sea, which resulted in important oil discoveries.
He went on to say the participation also touched on KOC's efforts for carbon neutrality by 2050 that came in line with Kuwait's overall efforts to achieve this goal by 2060.
The company's enhanced oil recovery project through injecting CO2 into the Manaqish oil field east of Kuwait and other major projects were also part of the pavilion, he asserted.
