Oberoi Mall Unites Mumbaikars in 8th Monsoon Walkathon to Promote First Aid Awareness


(MENAFN- Madison PR) Mumbai, September 17, 2025- Oberoi Mall, in collaboration with Swayamsiddh Yog, successfully hosted the 8th Monsoon Walkathon on September 14, 2025, uniting over 150 enthusiastic participants, families, and wellness advocates. This year’s event focused on the vital theme of “First Aid Awareness” and aimed to raise funds for the treatment of a critically ailing child.

The event was graced by Amarjeet Singh Chawla, a 100% blind, 69-year-old athlete and adventurer who has completed 160+ half marathons and achieved numerous records, including the 19,830 ft. Kailash Parikrama, bungee jumps, and paramotoring. Fondly known as the “Sporty Sikh,” Chawla is the only blind Indian (60+) to hold this record and has been honoured with over 10 national and community awards, including the Star Sports Believe Award. His presence and journey inspired participants to embrace resilience, health, and community action.

The Walkathon featured 3K, 5K, and 10K walk categories, drawing participants of all ages and abilities, transforming Oberoi Mall into a hub of fitness and purpose. Swayamsiddh Yog, a wellness institution with decades of experience in yoga and holistic health, co-hosted the event, enriching it with their philosophy of self-perfection and community well-being.
