The education department in the merged districts is facing a severe crisis as staff members have been informally transferred to other offices, leaving the department struggling with poor performance and declining employee morale.

According to an official letter sent by the Additional Director for Merged Districts to the Secretary of Education, officers required for the merged districts are being adjusted in unrelated sectors, while official files are being bypassed and sent directly instead of through the Additional Director Establishment.

The letter states that such practices violate official rules and have badly disrupted the education system in the merged districts.

The official vehicle of the Additional Director Establishment, reveals the letter further, has not been returned, while the driver has been threatened with suspension and salary stoppage.

The office has reportedly been functioning without a vehicle and other basic facilities for the past three weeks, seriously hampering day-to-day operations.

The Additional Director has appealed for immediate corrective measures, warning that failure to address the situation could inflict irreparable damage on the education system of the merged districts.
