Türkiye Defeats Greece to Secure Spot in FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Final

(MENAFN) Türkiye secured a commanding 94-68 victory over Greece on Friday, booking their spot in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 final. The Turkish men’s national basketball team asserted control early, taking a commanding 49-31 lead into halftime at Arena Riga in Latvia.

Ercan Osmani was the standout performer, finishing as the game’s top scorer with 28 points and pulling down six rebounds. Alperen Sengun added a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, contributing significantly to the Turkish side’s dominance. Cedi Osman chipped in with 17 points, while Shane Larkin scored 14.

Despite strong efforts from Greece, including Kostas Sloukas’s 15 points and a double-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo—who posted 12 points and 12 rebounds—their attempts fell short.

Türkiye will now face Germany in the final on Sunday, while Greece will compete against Finland in the third-place matchup.
