Red Cross Delivers Child-Sized Bulletproof Vests For Evacuations In Sumy Region
“Sumy region has received children's bulletproof vests from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. A total of 150 vests of the first class of protection were handed over to the regional child services office, which will distribute them for use by border communities, rescuers, the White Angels evacuation teams, and children's institutions,” the statement reads.
Acting head of the RMA Volodymyr Babych stressed that the region pays great attention to evacuating children from dangerous areas, so these vests are extremely important.
According to the regional administration, 92% of children in need have already been evacuated from the region, with the evacuation process continuing daily.
Representatives of the Red Cross explained that the funds for purchasing the vests were collected abroad thanks to donors contributing to the physical protection of children in Ukraine.
