Amman, Sept 14 (Petra) – Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Sunday reaffirmed his country's commitment to mediating between the parties involved in ending the war in Gaza, in coordination with Egypt and the United States, despite Israel's rejection of ceasefire proposals.
"Israeli practices will not deter us from pursuing our mediation efforts," Sheikh Mohammed said, describing the Israeli assault as "a dangerous precedent" that must be firmly confronted.
He urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for its crimes, warning that unchecked escalation would have repercussions beyond the immediate conflict. "The silence and failure of the international community to hold Israel to account has only emboldened it," he said.
