Amman, Sep.14 (Petra) -Ministry of Labor announced it has dealt with 31 worker disputes from the beginning of 2025 until end of last August.
All cases were resolved, in accordance with the resolution stages set by the Labor Law, with the exception of one dispute that is still pending and another that ended in the labor court.
In remarks to "Petra" Sunday, Adnan Dahamsheh, Director of the Ministry's Labor Relations Directorate, said the ministry oversaw the signing of 29 collective labor contracts.
Dahamsheh said this milestone was due to the cooperation of the administrations of private sector institutions with labor unions to serve their workers and improve their employment benefits.
Dahamsheh added that a total of approximately 218,000 workers benefited from the improved job benefits under the collective labor contracts overseen by the ministry.
Additionally, he said beneficiaries are currently working in the sectors of clothing, textiles, private education, public services, information technology, electricity sector, petrochemicals, and other industries.
