KUWAIT, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- The eighth relief plane within Kuwait's second air bridge to support Gaza departed on Sunday for Al-Arish Airport in Egypt, carrying 10 tons of essential food supplies as part of the campaign "Kuwait by Your Side."
Organized under the "Fazza for Gaza" initiative, the campaign is led by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) in collaboration with Kuwaiti charities and coordinated with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense.
Speaking to KUNA before departure, KRCS Chief Khaled Al-Mughamis said the mission reflects Kuwait's longstanding humanitarian commitment and follows directives from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah.
Al-Mughamis affirmed that Kuwait's humanitarian efforts will continue in support of the Palestinian people amid the severe conditions they face, emphasizing the Society's cooperation with the Egyptian and Palestinian Red Crescent organizations to overcome logistical challenges.
He expressed hope for the expedited opening of border crossings to facilitate the urgent entry of food and relief supplies into Gaza, reaffirming Kuwait's steadfast support for just and humanitarian causes.
Since the launch of the second air bridge on August 10, Kuwait has delivered 110 tons of basic food aid in coordination with the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries
