PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Sept. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Palm Springs Air Museum brings rare P-63 Kingcobra and P-51 Mustang to National Championship Air Races in Roswell, NM. "It's really important to show our support for the National Championship Air Races and Air Show in Roswell, New Mexico," says Palm Springs Air Museum Vice Chairman Fred Bell. "We couldn't participate without support from our sponsors. This year's sponsors are LULU's California Bistro in Palm Springs, CA and UCR Group, LLC, a real estate development company in Redlands, CA.

Asked why they sponsor, UCR Group's Advisory Board Chairman C. Steve Reeder says, "God blessed us with the brilliant minds who created these incredible air machines. May we honor all the great people who have taken care of the past, who are taking care of the present, and who will be taking care of the future. I am grateful for the honor of supporting this fabulous organization."

LULU owner Jerry Keller quipped, "The Palm Springs Air Museum is the patriotic center of the Coachella Valley. There's nothing like seeing and hearing the magnificent engines of the P-51 and especially of the rarely flown P-63 King Cobra."

"Thanks to our sponsors we are able to bring two vintage warbirds for demonstration flying at this year's event." The event takes place September 10 through 14, 2025 at Roswell Air Field in Roswell, New Mexico. The Palm Springs Air Museum features the renovated P-51 Mustang, Bunny, painted with Tuskegee Airmen colors, and markings of the late Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Bob Friend, who flew 140 missions over Italy during World War Two. Also flying this year is Pretty Polly, the P-63 Kingcobra, which took bronze in the unlimited race category in 2023. Pretty Polly is the oldest P-63 flying, having been the 4th plane to come off the assembly line.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is an educational non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve aircraft, honor our veterans and educate the public and future generations. Over 75 aircraft including an F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter and an educational center with a 13,500 volume library and flight simulators are housed on 17 acres with 100,000 square feet of climate-controlled hangars.
