Jo-Ann Robertson Joins Bully Pulpit International

(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON - Jo-ann Robertson is to join public affairs and strategic communications firm Bully Pulpit International (BPI Group) in the newly-created role of president, Europe and transatlantic growth leader.

PRovoke Media revealed yesterday that Robertson, who has been Ketchum's CEO of global markets since 2022, is to leave the Omnicom agency in 2026 after 14 years.

At BPI, Robertson's remit is to lead BPI's growth strategy across Europe, maximising cross-selling opportunities between Europe and North America, growing current client relationships, developing new key European clients for all markets, and customising offers across geographies.

The new role sees Robertson (pictured, right) return to her roots in corporate and public affairs: before joining Ketchum in 2001 as UK MD of corporate and public affairs, she had spent eight years at Weber Shandwick, latterly as UK head of corporate and public affairs.

Robertson will be based in London and becomes part of BPI Group's global executive leadership team. She will report to BPI Group's Europe CEO Jeremy Galbraith (pictured, centre), who said:“BPI has grown by attracting driven, passionate and skilled leaders to accelerate our vision and growth. I'm hugely excited to be working with such a dynamic leader as Jo-ann, who has truly global experience, deep client relationships and a track record of delivering meaningful growth.

“She is an exceptional leader who is recognised across our industry for her unparalleled strengths. Through innovation, intelligence and campaign-winning mindset, our clients and firm are going to benefit from Jo-ann's leadership. I can't wait for her to join so we can get started on the next phase of disruption and bold growth.”

The new role underscores BPI's global ambitions; the firm has rapidly expanded past its US homeland in the past couple of years, buying pan-European strategic communications and public affairs consultancy Boldt – founded by former Burson-Marsteller EMEA CEO Galbraith – in late 2023, instantly establishing it as a serious player in Europe.

A year later, BPI bought UK-based strategic communications agency Seven Hills and research group Message House, and in March this year it broadened its scope in the US with the acquisition of“impact agency” Propper Daley , adding cultural influence expertise, as well as operations in LA and Miami.

BPI also appointed former White House communications director, Ben LaBolt , as global president in April this year.

BPI group founder and CEO Andrew Bleeker (pictured, left) said:“Jo-ann's appointment underlines our vision, ambition and commitment as we accelerate BPI's growth globally, and specifically in Europe. She is a perfect fit for continuing to serve the most impactful global leaders as we deliver the industry-leading work that BPI is renowned for.

“Her reputation and achievements in the market globally speak for themselves, but her unique combination of modern approach, broad multinational experience and a style you can't help but love truly set her apart. Having acquired three market-leading businesses in Europe already, Jo-ann joining us signals the next chapter in our growth drive.”

Robertson declined to comment on the move to BPI. On her time at Ketchum, she told PRovoke Media this week that she was“incredibly proud of the team, clients, innovation and growth” that she had led at the agency and that“whilst it was the hardest decision to leave, I am so excited for my incredible new role and for all that is to come in this new chapter.”

BPI Group was named as one of the 50 Best Agencies in Continental Europe and one of the 80 Best Agencies in the US by PRovoke Media earlier this year. The group now has a team of more than 325 across 13 offices across the US and Europe.
