Poland shoots down Russian drones breaching its airspace while attacking Ukraine


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Poland stated that it shot down drone-type objects that consistently breached its sky while Russian attacked Ukrainian targets.

In a statement made by the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command on the American platform (X) :"As a result of today's attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, there was an unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by drone-type objects.”

It stated that the action "created a real threat" to the nation and Polish military used arms against the invading objects.

It stated that Polish and its partners radars followed many dozen objects, and a few unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that breached airspace could have raised a threat and were taken down.

Authorities commanded citizens in the most endangered districts-- Podlaskie, Mazowieckie and Lubelskie provinces -- to stay at home while army missions undergoing.

It stated: "we emphasize that military operations are ongoing and we appeal for people to stay at home."
