Apple Debuts iPhone 17, New Products

(MENAFN) Apple has launched its latest product ecosystem, revealing the new iPhone 17 series, the Apple Watch Series 11, and the AirPods Pro 3. The announcements introduce significant upgrades across the company's core hardware categories, including powerful AI-driven capabilities and advanced health tracking.

The new smartphone portfolio is led by the iPhone 17, which integrates artificial intelligence functionalities, fast-charging support, and a substantial battery life extension, providing up to eight more hours of video playback compared to its predecessor. The device also boasts a larger display with a nearly edge-to-edge design and will be available with a minimum of 256 gigabytes of storage in five distinct color options: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white.

Further expanding the lineup, Apple introduced the all-new iPhone Air, heralded as the company’s thinnest smartphone to date. Despite its ultra-slim and lightweight construction, it promises all-day battery performance. The flagship iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are positioned as the company's highest-performing smartphones yet, featuring the most advanced camera systems and extended battery life.

Pricing for the new iPhones starts at $799 for the standard model, $999 for the iPhone Air, $1099 for the iPhone 17 Pro, and $1199 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Pre-orders are set to begin this Friday across more than 60 countries, with products scheduled for general release on September 19.

Simultaneously, Apple unveiled a trio of new smartwatches. The Watch Series 11, with a battery life of up to 24 hours, now incorporates blood pressure monitoring. The Watch Ultra 3, the most sophisticated model, offers enhanced features for health, fitness, security, and connectivity, with a battery that can last up to 42 hours and the ability to send notifications upon detecting signs of chronic high blood pressure. The Watch SE 3, featuring the new S10 chip, includes more advanced health capabilities than its predecessor, alongside Siri support and fast charging.

The Watch SE 3 will retail for a starting price of $249, while the Watch Series 11 will begin at $399, and the Watch Ultra 3 at $799. Pre-orders for the smartwatches and the new headphones became available on Tuesday in over 50 countries.

Finally, the company introduced the AirPods Pro 3 wireless headphones. These new earbuds feature enhanced noise cancellation, heart rate monitoring during workouts, and extended battery life. Powered by AI, the headphones are also capable of translating foreign language speech in real time. The AirPods Pro 3 will be available for $249.
