Canada Condemns Israeli Targeting Of Residential Compound In Qatar

Ottawa: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney condemned the Israeli attack on a residential compound in Doha, describing the attack as an unacceptable escalation of violence that threatens to escalate the conflict in the region.

Carney said in a post on X that Canada condemns the Israeli strikes in Qatar, considering them a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and posing a serious risk of fueling tensions in the region.

He added that these attacks jeopardize efforts to achieve peace and security in the region and threaten efforts to release all hostages and achieve a lasting ceasefire.
