GCC States Condemn Flagrant Attack On Qatar Before United Nations Human Rights Council
Geneva: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states strongly condemned, before the United Nations Human Rights Council Tuesday, the flagrant attack that targeted Qatar, affirming that the assault reflects the criminal approach adopted by the Israeli occupation forces on all fronts, which comes as a continuation of what the residents of the Gaza Strip are enduring.
Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva Ambassador Nasser Al Hayen, in his capacity as Chairman of the Council of Ambassadors of the GCC States, stressed that the occupation's policies based on siege, ethnic cleansing, and collective punishment, in addition to targeting civilians, journalists, and civilian facilities, constitute grave violations of international law.
He renewed the GCC states' call on the international community, led by the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and fulfill its mandated role by taking firm, immediate, and serious measures to stop these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.
