Education Ministry Holds Training Meeting For Tanshe'a Programme

Doha, Qatar: As part of its ongoing commitment to developing educational staff and fostering a safe and motivating school environment, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Doha International Family Institute - a member of Qatar Foundation - held the first meeting of the national“Tanshe'a” programme for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The meeting targeted psychologists and social workers in public schools, along with supporting partners, and reviewed last year's achievements as well as current updates. The programme aims to encourage participants to deliver innovative activities that promote positive behaviours and reduce negative ones, thereby contributing to a healthy and engaging educational environment for students and parents alike.

The event was opened by Fatima Youssef Al-Obaidly, Assistant Director of the Department of Schools and Student Affairs at the Ministry, who emphasized the program's strategic importance in protecting youth from behavioural deviatio ns by strengthening protective factors and neutralizing negative influences that may affect their behaviour.

For her part, Dr. Sharifa Al-Emadi, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute, gave a detailed presentation on the“Tanshe'a” programme, highlighting the results and achievements of the 2024–2025 academic year. She also provided valuable recommendations to specialists and partners for enhancing the program and achieving its ambitious goals. Ibtisam Ayoub, Family Research and Policy Officer at the Institute, presented the program's implementation plan for the current academic year (2025–2026) and introduced the training package prepared for social workers and psychologists. The package includes a set of lectures, workshops, and activities designed to strengthen the program's objectives among students and parents.

The meeting also witnessed active participation from supporting entities, which presented their operational mechanisms and available outreach programs. Several specialists shared their successful experiences in implementing the programme, aiming to exchange expertise and knowledge with their peers.
